XEU1 // Explosion-proof Electric Unit Heater

The XEU1 series of explosion-proof electric unit heaters are designed to meet U.S.A. and Canadian certification standards (cCSAus) and the spark-resistant fan assembly is also compliant to AMCA 99, Type B. The three sizes of XEU1 heaters include our ExCaliber™ high performance liquid-to-air heat-exchanger cores that are available in 35 model choices of voltage and heat output combinations to meet your specific hazardous location requirements.
The XEU1 series of explosion-proof electric air heaters is designed to meet the most demanding requirements of heavy industry. The harsh operating conditions of this industry require heating equipment that is safe, reliable, dependable, and available when you need it. XEU1 unit heaters are designed to provide primary or supplementary heating for comfort or freeze protection in areas that are classified as hazardous locations (Gas and Dust atmospheres).
XEU1 heaters are suitable for a wide variety of applications that include but are not limited to oil & gas drilling rigs, petrochemical facilities, refineries, chemical storage and handling facilities, paint storage areas, sewage treatment plants, aircraft servicing areas, grain elevators, coal preparation areas, and other areas containing combustible dusts (flour, wood, plastics, chemicals, etc.).
XEC1 // Explosion-proof Electric Cabinet Convection Air Heater for Hazardous Locations (suitable for use in Hydrogen gas atmospheres)

All Hazloc Heaters™ XEC1 ProTektor explosion-proof cabinet convection heaters are designed to meet U.S. and Canadian certification standards. The four cabinet sizes of XEC1 convection heaters are available in 119 single-phase and 76 three-phase model choices of voltage, heat output, and Division System temperature class code (T2B or T3A) combinations to meet your specific requirements. Factory built-in options and a selection of electrical enclosures are also available for added convenience and safety.
The flexibility of the XEC1 ProTektor design allows, at the time of factory ordering, for users to request that their electrical enclosure, plus any built-in options selected, be mounted on the right side (standard) or left side (option) of the sloped-top cabinet.

XEC1 convection air heaters are suitable for a wide variety of applications that include, but are not limited to, petroleum refineries, gasoline storage and dispensing areas, hydrogen atmospheres, oil & gas wellhead buildings, petrochemical plants, sewage or wastewater treatment plants, battery storage areas, dry cleaning plants and hazardous material storage buildings.
The versatile XEC1 ProTektor heater incorporates high quality Incoloy® 800 tubular elements, an aluminum tube assembly with pressed radial-embossed aluminum plate fins, and O-rings on enclosures for IP66 & Type 4 ingress protection. The cabinet construction consists of a 14 GA galvanized steel back panel and 14 GA carbon steel with epoxy/polyester powder-coating on the front and side cabinet panels for added protection from corrosive atmospheres. With no exposed copper or brass they are also suitable for H²S environments. Mounting brackets are fabricated from 14 GA galvanized steel.
IEH1 // Industrial Electric Unit Heater

The IEH1 Evolution series is designed to meet U.S. and Canadian certification standards. The three housing sizes of IEH1 heaters are available in 76 model choices of voltage and heat output combinations to meet your specific requirements. Numerous factory built-in options are also available for added convenience and safety. The rugged and versatile IEH1 heater incorporates high quality stainless steel tubular elements, high performance fan and motor assembly, and sturdy powder coated 16 GA galvanized steel housing and inlet/outlet grilles. The high air flow and air throw, up to 50 feet (15 m), promote air circulation within the space. Furthermore, the more uniform temperature increases comfort levels and helps eliminate cold spots.
